VA JUMBO LOAN
A veteran can still close a VA home loan to buy a jumbo property. For example, with a $500,000 home, the veteran is required to bring in 25% of the amount over and above $424,100. The difference would be $75,900. Twenty five percent is $18,975 that the veteran would have to put down. This represents a 3.795% down payment which is significantly less than a Jumbo Conventional loan.
A conventional loan is a loan that conforms to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines. Loan amounts up to $424,100 with a minimum of 5% down payment. Mortgage Trust Inc. also offers only 3% down for first time homebuyers! Conventional loans are available for primary residences, second homes or investment properties including single family residences, 2-4 unit properties, and condos.
FHA financing allows homeowners to get into a home with as little a 3.5% down. Mortgage Trust Inc. can give up to 4% lender credit to cover closing costs and prepaid so the buyer only has to have their down payment of 3.5%
